# Total number of data sets published

The number of data published by local authorities is high, but the multiplication of "harvesting" systems (referencing on a portal data originally published on another platform) makes an exact count complex. 

As we mentioned in the chapter "Platform Governance", as these data are published on many portals, their valuation remains difficult.
