In 2022, the technical offer to operate an open data portal is still quite rich with more than ten solutions.

A few leaders dominate the market: 2 solutions dominate open data (a proprietary solution ODS and an open source solution CKAN and derivatives) and 2 solutions cover mostly the field of geographic data in open data (a proprietary solution ArcGIS and an open source solution GeoNetwork), relatively old in their core business and quite recent on the open data market.

Interesting challengers, with attractive technical and commercial offers, are appearing and gradually (re)taking market share, with quality references (e.g. Koumoul with DatArmor or ADEME).
