Despite the good growth seen in 2022, the rate of local authorities complying with the obligation to open up under the Digital Republic law, enacted in October 2016, is still very low, at nearly 16%. This means that 84% of local authorities do not open their data, missing out not only on their obligations but above all on the formidable lever for transforming their public actions. This rate varies very little over the years because of the number of local authorities concerned (nearly 5,000). At this rate, it would take more than 25 years for a complete national coverage in open data... !
